RETURNS, WARRANTY & CARE POLICY

At Streifen, we want our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchase.

We recommend you read this Returns, Warranty and Care Policy prior to making a purchase, so you are familiar with our policies on refunds, returns, repairs, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

CHANGE OF MIND

Please choose carefully, as we do not offer refunds, exchanges or store credit for change of mind.

All Streifen furniture and objects are made to order, and once an order is confirmed, it cannot be cancelled or amended.

 

DAMAGED OR FAULTY GOODS

If you believe your purchase is faulty, damaged on arrival, or does not match the description, please contact us as soon as possible or within 48 hours of delivery.

Examples of eligible concerns include:

  • Unacceptable quality
  • Unfit for purpose
  • Not matching the description
  • Goods must be returned in the condition received with all original packaging, accessories and manuals.

 

GOODS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT

If any goods arrive damaged, please follow these steps:

  • Report the damage in writing to contact@streifen.com within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Retain the original packaging to protect the item during return transit.
  • Wait for our response and instructions. We will arrange replacement, repair or refund as appropriate.
  • Once returned goods are inspected and approved, we will credit your original payment method.

 

CONSUMER GUARANTEES AND YOUR RIGHTS

All goods sold in Australia come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

REFUNDS

Refunds will be processed via the original payment method as soon as returned goods have been received and inspected by Streifen.

Refunds are only provided where required by Australian Consumer Law.

 

RETURNS & REPAIRS

Goods must be returned within a reasonable timeframe if they are faulty or not as described. Timeframes vary depending on the nature of the product.

If an item cannot be easily returned due to size or installation, please contact us to arrange an inspection.

Goods returned for repair will be assessed and repaired within a reasonable time. You may be provided with an indicative timeframe, which can vary due to factors such as part availability.

Fees may apply if goods are assessed to have been damaged by misuse, accident, or where your rights under Australian Consumer Law do not apply. We will provide an indicative fee if this occurs.

 

WARRANTY

Streifen products are protected under a one-year manufacturing warranty. If your furniture becomes defective or unfit for purpose within this timeframe, we will repair or replace the product or relevant parts.

Defects are subject to assessment by Streifen. Damage caused by negligent use, modification, or inadequate maintenance is not covered. General wear and tear—including chipping, pilling, or scratching—is not covered under this warranty.

 

MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP

Streifen pieces are handcrafted using high-quality materials sourced from trusted suppliers. Variations in colour, texture and minor imperfections are part of the artisanal process and are not considered defects. These characteristics contribute to the unique nature of each product.

 

CARE & MAINTENENCE

Your Streifen piece has been crafted to last, and regular care will help preserve its appearance.

PLYWOOD
Handle carefully when moving to avoid chipping edges. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.

STEEL
Steel surfaces can develop a natural patina over time. If you wish to prevent this, avoid direct hand contact during assembly and moving, and use a cloth to handle the frame.

LEATHER
Naturally dyed leather will soften and develop a patina with use. Clean gently with a dry cloth and avoid excessive moisture or direct sunlight.
